I never seem to get tired of the zoo. Fresh air, something different to see, free range roaming for Henry, dippin dots, and a good nap afterwards! Here's a few highlights:
Climbing on anything possible was Henry's favorite, checking out the lego creations was mine and seeing the rhino awake for once. We both decided that we do NOT like the bird show. They have some little birds that fly too close to my head too many times for our own comfort.
We came home to this unpleasant surprise! A snake was working his way across my driveway as we returned from the zoo. I contemplated running it over a few times but that thought freaked me out. So I hurried and put Henry down for his nap then came back out to find the serpent! He had slithered into the crack between our driveway and garage cement. Soon after the picture on the right the beast snuck its way into our garage (uninvited) by just going under the door?! Luckily my friend Ashley was cruising by and came to save me. Using our snow shovel and an old shower rod she wrangled the snapping mouth monster into the sewer drain by our home. I'm sure he will find his way back to torment us, but I'm too much of a wimp to kill him (or catch him!).
