Week 36 - 4th of July Celebration

After the Wooden boat festival we returned home to play games, eat food, and set of fireworks. Grammy bought the kiddos festive headbands and sunglasses for a picture. Henry liked some parts more than others.

Here he is not like any part except Jordan

Until Papa showed him what true patriotism looks like. I love this picture

Everyone was playing a new golf card game that they seemed to enjoy and caused very little fighting, much better than RAGE which involves very much fighting.

"Baby you're a firework..."

I have a cute  baby huh?

I'll eat these but I won't wear them.

I love the little chicks' dresses.

D kept saying "Put on?" to Henry

Seriously look at these cuties

Although Henry looks like he might be smiling he was really crying cuz it was nap/eating time or something.

Eating a picnic on Papa's driveway

He loves his daddy that is for sure.

Cute banner huh? My mom also made one for when we flew in that said welcome to our family fourth with other cute festive hanging decor.

Waiting ever so patiently for their potatoes, watermelon, chicken, asparagus, and lemonade. It was a great dinner.

All the chairs lined up and ready for the show

All the men prepping to light something together.

Don't mind that Henry is bundled to the core, we Utahns were a little over compensating for the decrease in temperature. I wish we were still there and not cooking in 100 degree weather here...

FIRE

Delaynie had an incident with a sparkler catching her hair on fire, she was so calm through the whole thing and definitely smelled like burnt afterwards.

Shannon modeling her patriotism

Paisley LOVED the fireworks

Henry fell asleep soon after this picture was taken

Cuddling up with Auntie Kami

I really like the fountains the most

Jordy and Henry having a good cuddle

Grammy said dryer sheets would keep the mosquitos away, we all smelled really good and surprisingly got very few bites. Matt stuck these in my shirt collar and Delaynie kept asking "You no like it?" and I told her "nope" so she told Matt "She no like it!" insisting he take them back out. Such a caring girl.

What can we put fire to?

Henry surprisingly fell asleep and didn't even jump or freak out with any of the booming fireworks. I couldn't believe how calm he was about the whole thing.

Grammy gave everyone Gelato ice cream cones, Paisley was our waitress and took wonderful orders.

It was a perfect night followed by pretty great sleep. I love celebrating the 4th of July!
