2/16/13 - The Zoo

On a warm, 43 degree day we headed out to the Zoo for the first of many adventures with our new season pass. Isn't that baby elephant so cute? None of us had ever seen inside an elephant's mouth,  we are still in shock (see below)...

The tiger was sleeping, so was the linx, the bobcat, and every other cat we could find. The giraffes were inside giving everyone a thorough stare down for making any noise.

Rocky Shores was fun, we love under water adventures! The seals were hilariously talking and laughing. Henry watched the water and pointed when an animal swam past.

Dad really enjoyed going to the zoo with you. He hadn't been in a LONG time and lots of things had changed. I always enjoy watching his interactions with you. Your dad is a good teacher and helps you learn about all the things you see. He loves you. This silly gorilla gave dad the opportunity to teach you a thing or to... My favorite was when the gorilla plopped down and started scratching his armpit and belly for a good 10 minutes. What a life huh?

We saw the whole zoo in about 1.5 hours with very little crowds. Some parts of the zoo were under construction so we can't wait to go back again and see the new stuff!
