366 days ago at this exact moment (5:11 AM) you came into the world. I can still remember your soft cry, how you peed all over me instantly, and feeling so much love for the pink little man in my arms. The pain was all worth every minute I have had with you.
I received this tidbit in an e-mail and wanted to share it:
"In the past year you've changed at least 3,000 diapers, lost about 350 hours of sleep, wondered whether to call the doc 9 times, wondered how you lived without your baby almost every day, and wished you had five minutes to yourself almost as often."
How true that is! In addition I think the longest stretch of time I have ever left you was 4.5 hours, aside from sleeping!
As you continue to grow, I know you will want to spend less and less time wrapped up in my arms and covered in my silly kisses. So as a reconciliation, I will spend more time whispering in your ear that I love you. Encouraging you to accomplish amazing things. Laughing out loud with you as often as possible to show you that life can always be happy if we seek to find joy. And letting your grow and become the wonderful boy you are to be! Henry I love you and I can't wait to see what the next 365 has to bring!
How lucky are we that our first year together was a leap year! Instead of 365 days of joy we got 366! Wahoo!!! Lets recap the past with a picture a month to watch you grow.
