Henry spent most of Halloween night looking out the window and door for trick-or-treaters. He would get so excited when they came to the door and smack his fist against the glass as soon as he saw them and start talking excitedly to them. Of course once we opened the door he was nervous and silent but it was still fun.
After most of the trick-or-treater had come and gone we dressed Henry in his costume to show him off to a few neighbors and friends who hadn't seen him yet. We figured that taking him actual trick-or-treating would look a whole lot like parents using their baby for free candy. So Henry in his monkey costume (thanks Rowleys!) with a banana to clarify and off we went to the Krogues, Recksicks, and Graves' house. Henry was seriously darling and everyone thought he was so cute!
It was a fun first Halloween with a baby. Can't believe that last Halloween we went to sleep for the last time as a family of a two only to be woken up 2 hours later and then to have Henry join our family 5 hours after that! Such a wonderful year we have had!
