In an effort to give Henry some independence and me some time do accomplish small tasks, I've been working on getting Henry to nap all by himself. Bedtime is not an issue because I can count on my hand the number of times Henry has slept with us. I've tried various "tricks" to get Henry to sleep alone. Most of my tricks involve trying to get Henry to think he is still being held by me. He sure is cute when sleeping...
Yes, Henry is on the couch in this picture. YES, I am sitting right next to him. The shirt I was wearing when I rocked him to sleep is tucked under his arm complete with a burp cloth I wore against my chest all morning. He slept for about an hour this way -SUCCESS!
He won't let his paci go even though it is squishing his lips to the side.

The next couple pictures are from when I was watching my cousin's daughter Cadence. Cadence wanted to make a little bed for Henry on the couch so we could play while he slept. She brought out lots of little toys and pillows and blankets to keep his happy.
haha, he just wants his mama all the time! but man, naptimes are my saving grace every day, so i hope he keeps sleeping better and better on his lonesome sometimes!
