12/25/12 - Baby's 2nd Christmas

Christmas sleeping was synonymous with playtime for Henry. We had him in the pac'n'play next to our bed and he spent the night laughing and standing up exclaiming "Dada!" everytime I opened my eyes. Morning came plenty quickly. Henry climbed the stairs with Aunt Annie to see what Santa brought him.

Henry played with a train set, banana bread, and whip cream. His morning was pretty sweet.

The whip cream transformed Henry into Santa Clause which was an added bonus

After a quick clean up we headed straight to the airport. Since Henry had a nice long nap in the car on the way to the airport we took him for a few laps in hopes we would sleep a little on the plain.
Halfway through the flight he took a nap :)

Papa and Paisley came to pick us up from the airport. Paisley even brought Jock from Lady and the Tramp and shared so easily with Henry. We got to my parent's house and my mom came home from work minutes later dressed in candy cane jammies. Then Christmas Party 4 started :) We opened a few presents and then ate dinner. The kids even had their own kid table!

We ate dinner all together which was a treat in itself. I've always loved my parent's tree. We discussed our favorite ornament and were not surprised when Grammy couldn't pick one.

Watching the kids open presents was a  real treat. Paisley often said "this is exactly what I wanted!" or "my favorite!" Delaynie always said "thank you!" before she even opened the gift and then again after opening it. Both girls were so grateful and so happy. I gave Delaynie pickles and Paisley lemons and loved both of their reactions "this is the best gift ever!"

Henry got a little tired near the end and became skeptical of who he cuddled with. Papa started to wear the wrapping paper when he couldn't figure out the tag.
Both girls transformed into princesses and Henry became a police officer searching for dropped pretzels. We again were spoiled rotten with gift and love. Again, I feel so blessed to have a family we love spending time with.

Henry was so tired, I mean so tired but he didn't want to miss out on the fun. Jordan and Austin were on the iPad laughing along with us. So many fun and thoughtful gifts. I'm excited to start using everything we got! Matt even surprised me with a necklace, he really does love me.

All in all I would say that Henry's second Christmas was the best. He got to see everyone who loves him in the same day. Most of those people even got to give him loves and shower him with gifts. Here's to hoping every year can be this fun!
