Pregnancy

Henry was my first pregnancy, I had no idea what to expect. I thought I would have strong food cravings and I hoped I wouldn't gain too much weight. I didn't realize how exhausted I would be the first and third trimester and how hard it would be to comfortably sleep. Surprisingly I never threw up my entire pregnancy, this coming from a girl who has thrown up in MANY places. I had heart burn one time in my first trimester but I blame the nasty mexican food we ate for lunch that day at work, sketchy place.

I wouldn't say I loved being pregnant but I did enjoy it. Henry got the hiccups a lot during my third trimester, at least once a day. I came to love these hiccups because they assured me my little boy was growing and still healthy. I felt like my baby bump was low from the beginning and just got lower throughout my pregnancy. I don't think I ever noticed my "belly drop" at the end of my pregnancy because it was always low.

Near the end of my pregnancy Henry's bum would often push our right below my ribs. Henry does enjoy stretching like a cat with his back arched, I think this is what he was doing inside. I was lucky to never feel like he was kicking my ribs or dancing on my bladder.

I remember the first time Matt felt Henry move. We were sitting on our couch in our apartment in Layton and Matt was watching my belly. Henry kicked/punched twice in one spot on the right side of my belly, Matt put his hand on that spot and Henry kicked three times. Matt's face lit up with a huge smile. It was so fun to hear him share this story with others.

I really enjoyed my Doctor's office because they offered an ultrasound at every visit and a few 3D ultrasounds. It was so fun to watch our little boy grown, hear his heart, and see the changes each visit. At my second appointment Henry was bouncing around during the ultrasound and I was so surprised he could move around that much without me feeling anything.

Now for the pictures of my growing belly.
