I had no idea the serious lack of sleep that came with a new born. I felt like a fuzzy, out-of-focus tv/radio this entire week. Henry slept for 2-3 hour periods but enjoyed being WIDE awake in the middle of the night. I would just look at his bright eyed face and wonder where he got the energy! I took lots of naps with Henry during the day which helped.
I love the dimple in this one.
Henry had his 2-week check-up on the 16th and were were surprised to find he weighed 7lbs 8oz and was 20 inches long. He had surpassed his birth weight and then some! Dr. Cox (the pediatrician) thought Henry still looked a little yellow but wasn't concerned. At this appointment Henry also got some snipping business taken care. I helped by holding Henry's hands and crying with him. In hindsight I should have given him more of the glucose water they offered- apparently it is like happy drugs to babies.
We had a special visitor from Ferron come see her 2nd Great-grandchild, Grandma Evelyn. Cheri and her girls also came to see the new baby. We are so lucky to have so much family close by.
Crystal we loved this outfit! The collar wanted to be popped...
