11/27/12 - Deck The House with Lights and Ornaments

We decorated for Christmas a couple days after Thanksgiving this year. It was a fun family home evening activity and now it feels like Christmas. Henry wants the tree, and I don't blame him. The first few ornaments of my childhood are cookie plates, jam jars, ginger bread men, and spoons dipped in chocolate! I would want to eat the ornaments too!

For now we just continue to enjoy your laughter everytime you get remotely close to the lights.

In keeping with Graves' family tradition, we purchased Henry an ornament this year (he got one last year too). Matt isn't all for traditions because he doesn't want expectations that get harder to meet in the future but I think lets start some and if they don't work out it will be OKAY. Food is really Henry's favorite thing in the world aside from me and since there was not an ornament of me or food that we liked, we picked a Santa ornament for Henry this year. Going forward Henry will pick his own ornament and I look forward to seeing what he brings to our tree!
I'm such a rebel I even let Henry man-handle his ornament
