So to Ogden we went to visit and my Grandmas. In all the hussel and bussel I completely forgot it was my Grandma Norma Hansen's 90th birthday. We remembered on the way and wrote her a nice card and brought Henry with his new steps as her birthday present. I think they were both pretty happy about it.
Since we forgot birthday hats to sing with we improvised with one of Henry's socks and seriously enjoyed the entertainment. Poor kid doesn't have arms long enough to reach that part of his head. He was a good sport and laughed right along with us.
Phone calls are great on birthdays, I love them! Especially from my out-of-town loved ones. BUT visits are even better and I'm so glad we went to share our life and love with my grandma on her birthday. Hopefully we can celebrate again with her next year! I seriously hope I can be half as enthusiastic about life and half as busy at her age!
After Grandma Hansen's we headed up to Grandma Graves' house. Henry was ON THE MOVE! She has stairs to climb, a fireplace to explore, drawers to pull open, you name it! Needless to say Henry was a little hard to contain. He was also VERY yappy at her house. Henry loves to talk just like his mama. Grandma said a few times that Matt had his hands full with 2 BIG conversationalists on his hands. If anyone is surprised that Henry talks non-stop then please send me a million dollars. We are just anxiously awaiting the day when we can understand what Henry is saying...
Henry discovered the alphabet with Grandma and also sang along to the ABC's. Meaning he literally tried to sing-a-long which is very adorable and Grandma smiled a lot about. Henry also played with Smokey the Bear that might be 100 years old but as good a toy as any.
Following the endless play time we ate some yummy dinner with Aunt Heather and Uncle Matt and Grandma. It was a fun visit. We had planned on one more stop but Henry fell asleep as soon as we got in the car and we hated to wake him. Don't worry though he woke up when we got home and we had one of the funniest times of our lives. Coming soon!
