Henry if anyone ever tells you that you are not loved, it is a lie. I love you so much! Dad loves you so much! Tonight we cracked up as Dad acted out animal sounds with you. The Elephant made you laugh the most. My favorite part was that you also wanted to make the elephant sound, but needed Dad's hand on your mouth in order to do so. Like Dad's hand had some magical elephant noise making power. The face you are making in the picture with me is a common shy face of yours.
The afternoon hits and we NEED to get outside. You want to go outside and will bring me one of your shoes or your coat. I happily take the hint since the weather has been getting nicer. We stay out for about 30-40 minutes but only make it about 5 houses up the street. We both seem to like the fresh air, the change of scenery, and the distance.
You love to look at the parked cars and exclaim "Car car!" However, you do not like the moving cars. Every time a car drives by, you cling to my legs and try to peak as the car passes. Sometimes you watch the car until it is completely out of sight before you will start moving again. Other times I try to wiggle you away and start walking but you always catch up and find away into the same spot. I'm not going to lie, I think it is endearing. As most of our walks happen in the late afternoon when people are headed home from work, we spend a lot of time like this:
If you really like the car, you blow it a kiss bye-bye.
Car spoted! Run to mom's legs for cover!
If I play peek-a-boo maybe the car won't see me?
There are two fences along our walk that you LOVE. The one below is a huge favorite as well as a picket fence. We have to stop about every 19 Henry steps to examine the fence. I love your curios and exploratory nature.
