This year Easter was pretty early. Early enough that Jake turned one two days prior to so we decided to have a combined party. We partied at the Stringfellow's house and enjoyed the sunny, warm weather. Henry is wearing a bright orange sock. Not because it matched his outfit, but because I new it would get destroyed from crawling in the grass and cement and I wouldn't be sad about throwing it away later. So this was Henry's second Easter and I would say he cared as much for the eggs as he did on his first Easter. He didn't quite understand the point (but who does?) of finding the eggs. He more just enjoyed crawling around in the grass on a sunny day. Henry also enjoys putting things inside of other things, so putting the eggs in the basket/bucket was pretty fun for him. He'd get a couple eggs in then dump them out to start all over again.
Stetson was the highlight of the hunt because he LOVED it. He was awesome at finding eggs, and then hiding them again, and then finding them again. He was really so excited and also really good at sharing with Jake and Henry.
Another highlight was the wagon, which Henry called a "car." Henry wanted numerous rides in the wagon. Some of those rides came mid meal because it was the only way to keep him content and from saying "car car car car car car car car car car"
Jake devoured his cake and ate like pro. He also was pretty good at opening his presents. I forget that Jake and Henry are closer in age then Henry and Stetson. Either way these boys have more fun together as they get older.
