Check out our first carrots we pulled from the ground?I think they look strangely like people with arms and legs. Next year we will make sure to soften the dirt a LOT further down. All our carrots are about the same 5 inches long because the ground further down is HARD.
My parents came to town for Lexi Hillyard's wedding. As other family members were out vacationing we finally got a chance to have our parents all to ourselves. Of course we still traveled over parts of Utah to see Grandmas and Jordan & Austin because no trip is complete without seeing those you love.
On Friday we went up to the Oaks in Ogden Canyon to eat lunch with Grandma Graves, Grandma Hansen, Uncle Matt, Aunt Heather, Cousin Clair, Aunt Jordan, and of course us. It was a beautiful day to be outside, even if there were lots of bees. Henry ate lots of Papa's rice and beans and we all had a fun time chatting. I should have taken a picture but I didn't! We also let Henry try limes for the first time! See:

As we left Papa and Great Grandma wanted to talk about rocks, so I took a picture. Four generation if you count me behind the camera :)
After lunch we went to a fabric store with Great Grandma Hansen then headed up to walk through the Brigham City Temple Open House. Henry slept while I went to Maddox and a fruit stand to get some fresh Brigham City Peaches and everyone else enjoyed the temple. We played a new fun game called Spot-it that night while the boys watched football. The only problem with the game is that there is no way to know if Jordan is cheating!
Saturday we ran a few errands around town after eating a delicious breakfast at Kneaders then headed off to the wedding at the Old Meeting House in SLC.
Henry learning about the inside of a piano with Dad while looking super handsome. Every part of this outfit was too big except the neck, which was too small.
Henry having a grand old time
Aunt Jordan kept Henry entertained with a Rudolph Ducky, so what if it isn't Christmas. Henry also mastered the baby-opened-mouth-drool-kiss this week and wanted to give Jordan at least a dozen.
We say many old friends from Kent like the Woodbury, Southwicks, and Haddocks. It was also fun to catch up with the Hillyards' and their extended family. Lexi and Justin looked beautiful and so in love. I can't wait for their future and all the fun adventures they will have together. sorry I didn't take a picture! While the adults talked I let Henry explore the floor crawling all over the place. It was just before this weekend that Henry decided to stop crawling around like a worm and crawl on his hands and knees. It reminds me of the jungle book the way you move your arms and slap your hands down. Needless to say sitting is no longer your favorite activity. We grabbed some dinner at while at Culvier's you said "mamamama" for the first time. The first time I wasn't even in the vicinity and the second time I was looking at you in shock! Later that night we played cards and chatted until late in the night.
Sunday was spent at churck, playing Kubb in the backyard, and eating Maddox Turkey burgers for dinner. We are always sad to see Grammy and Papa go home but luckily they will be back the first of October for some birthdays!
Other funny happenings included Grammy speaking English, Japanese, German, Spanish French, Cow, Dog and Cat. You were fussing up a storm after being in the car all day and Grammy got out your beloved puppy doggy and he counted and sang songs through Grammy. It was hilarious and AWESOME.
