Friday was a Teacher Workshop day for Kellie so we played at Grammy's and I finished cleaning out some of my room in the morning. We then headed to the wonderful Kentwood High School to see Kellie's Workshop. The little girls have always called everyone's work a "workshop" so it was very fitting that Kellie had a Workshop at her "workshop." We walked the halls of KW and remembered the good old days of when we attended school. Kellie showed us her office and her classroom. The little girls loved to run around the desks, color on the white board, and sit in chairs like students!
Delaynie ready for her Senior year already
Paisley running off to college before we know it.
And Henry wishing he could just get in the seat. So when life gives you lemons make lemonade! Or music if your name is Henry and their is anything to bang on.
Kellie always encourage her students to Reach for the Stars!
Delaynie was sad she wore her rain boots and not her running shoes since Paisley was running all over, she kept up regardless!
We then ate some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Seriously why didn't I know Pete's BBQ existed until just this very trip? Free soft serve???? HELLO! Henry wanted nothing to do with the corn bread or BBQ or toast I had to offer him. So I resulted to ice cream, which he didn't like because it is cold. BUT the cone, well that was another delicious story!
It was delicious!
Back at Grammy's we got out the Halloween decor and the girls helped Grammy set it up all over the house. Part of the decor included a Tigger costume and the girls each wore it for a bit. Delaynie thought she was a tiger or lion and kept roaring at people.
Paisley had the attitude of Eeyore but was in Tigger's body if you know what I mean.
Henry is into chasing after stuff and getting what he wants. So Paisley pulled this little bike all around the kitchen, over and over again, and Henry just followed her around trying to get it. Paisley even said "this is the funnest thing I have ever done with this baby" which made me laugh out loud.
Then Henry remembered that getting mom is sometimes more fun then getting a toy. Love.
Delaynie tried to ride this little caterpillar toy, it was HILARIOUS! She succeed but always fell off.
COUSINS! Each picture makes me laugh for different reasons.
I call these snuggling cousins. Paisley will be such a wonderful big sister!
Henry's afternoon nap was cut SHORT because he didn't want to miss out of the fun. So as a result he wanted nothing but his mother or a toy at all times. So getting his picture was rough, but kids on the move is reality.
Then Henry and I headed to the airport, got rushed through security in the Fast Pass line AKA Family line. Then endured the rudest person ever behind me. In hindsight I should have asked her to go before me but she should have realized I was following 2 other families with children. So instead of huffing and puffing and whining about flying with kids she should have picked a different line! After getting on the plane we went WAY to the back since Henry fell asleep in the car on the way to the airport and I didn't know how we was going to be. He was awake the entire bedtime flight until right when we landed then he slept all the way home and gave his Daddy a little cuddle before heading off to dreamland in his own crib.
Henry slept throught the night, 8-8, every night of our trip and had normal wonderful naps. Since being home sleep has not been the same whatsoever! I'm beginning to wonder what magic Grammy cuz it is working! I would so trade sleeping through the night for this lack of sleep in Utah.
