Week 46 - Big Boy Hair Cut

At 10.5 months old we decided it was time for you to get a real haircut. We had previously trimmed those weird long hairs of your (here) back at 26 weeks. So 20 more weeks later we decided to cut all of your hairs.

Here are the befores:

You could have easily had little pig tails.

We took you into the blue bedroom downstairs that doesn't have carpet. Daddy held you on his lap while mom cut your hair with the buzzer cutter. Scissors would have taken FOREVER and looked really bad. We cut your hair with the longest thing we had which was a 7. You did not like it! We expected that you wouldn't like it since you don't like the blender or vacuum. So you cried through the whole process but in the end snuggled with dad. I would have cried to while cutting if I would have realized that cutting your hair would change you from a baby to a toddler.

The afters:

You are only smiling because we are dangling your paci above the camera

The next morning I had to trim a few spots with scissors, like behind the ears.

Which was conveniently done while dad fed you cereal. You didn't mind one bit. Maybe scissors was the way to go all along?

After you haircut I realized how coarse your hair is now. Your baby hairs were so soft and feathery. Now your hair is thick, kinds of curly, and coarse like your daddy's hair.
